COP30 Prayer Station

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting this space of prayer, reflection, and action.

April’s Theme: The Role of the Church

This month, we reflect on how the Church can be a voice for justice and a model of environmental stewardship in its practices and teachings. We also consider the part that we play as individuals within the body of the Church. We are called to care for God’s creation - not only in prayer but also in action.

Why This Matters

As Christians, we believe that God has entrusted us with the care of the earth. We do not own it, for from God and through God and for God are all things (Romans 11:36). The choices we make - both as individuals and as a church community - can reflect our faith and commitment to God’s creation:

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”
(Psalm 24:1)

The Church has a powerful role to play in leading by example. Through prayer and action, we can reflect God’s heart for Creation and justice.

How You Can Pray

Pray for guidance – that the Church would reflect God’s care for creation in its teachings and practices.
Pray for unity – that we would come together as a community to seek God’s wisdom on how best to care for the world He created.
Pray for influence – that the Church’s voice would be heard in conversations about justice and stewardship, offering hope and wisdom.

At our prayer station you’ll find interactive ways to engage with this theme. We invite you to join us in praying for the Church’s responsibility, and for our individual responsibility, to respond to God’s call to care for Creation.
